Skok waterfall - a glacial waterfall falling from a rocky point

Situated in Mlynicka valley, an approximately 10 m high waterfall is created by Mlynica brook.

Furkotsky peak - near the crossing of Mlynicka and Furkotska valleys in Bystre saddle

Furkotska Valley stretches on the south side of the High Tatras. Yellow marked tourist trail leads from Strbske Pleso through Mlynicka valley to Furkotska valley.

Zamkovsky hut - on a tourist trail between Hrebienok resort and Skalnate Lake

1,475 m EASL, founded by climber and mountain guide Stefan Zamkovsky in 1942 - 1943. Today, supplies are still transported traditionally to the chalet by carriers.

Tery's hut - the highest located mountain chalet in the High Tatras

The hut lies 2,015 m EASL, a little above five Spis Mountain Lakes at the end of Small Cold Valley. Tery's hut, open all year round, keeps symbolic watch over this valley.

Unique High Tatra fauna - 115 species of birds, 42 mammals, eight reptiles, and three amphibians

Notable ice age relicts are Branchinecta paludosa - species of fairy shrimp, Three-toed Woodpecker, Ring Ouzel, Spotted Nutcracker, and others. Mammals are represented by, for example, the European Brown Bear, Alpine Marmot, and the Tatra chamois.

Hut by Green Lake - situated in picturesque alpine scenery all around

The hut lies on the eastern bank of the mountain lake Zelene pleso (Green Lake) in 1,551 m EASL. Zelene pleso hut with its surroundings is appreciated by amateurs and professional photographers a lot.

Tatra National Park (TANAP) - diverse flora and fauna with many endemic species

Tatra National Park (abbr. TANAP) lies in the North of Central Slovakia in the High Tatras. The National Park covers an area of 738 km2. The park offers 600 km of hiking trails and several ski resorts.

Plesnivec hut - the only inhabited object in the Belianske Tatra Mountains

A former 18th-century shed (1,290 m EASL) of a man from Austria trying to find gold there. After the reconstruction in 1938, it obtained its current design.

Strbske Pleso - ski, tourist, and health resort next to a glacial mountain lake in the High Tatras

Strbske Pleso village comprises several hotels and residential buildings. With extensive parking facilities and a stop on the Tatra trolley and rack railway, it is a starting point for popular hikes, including Krivan and Rysy peaks.
