Tailor Made Hiking Tour of Slovak National Parks for 10 persons

Dear Lenka

Thank you for your professionalism and making our trip very smooth. Especially, thank you for allocating the incredible Lucia as our guide.
Everything went very smooth - from the airport pickup through the hikes, hotel, and every detail.
Our hikes on the different trails were amazing and even the two days we had some difficult weather, could not keep us away from our plans. You've been blessed with a beautiful country, amazing scenery and Lucia's hospitality was at all times heartwarming.
The only recommendation I would give you for future groups like ours is to have in place a contingency plan for rainy days. For example, just make sure that you have alternative trails (and costs agreed upon) for those days in which you are certain that the clouds will not cooperate and rain will be eminent.
The Hotel was perfect, food was good,.....
So in short (and after very little sleep this night), I will certainly recommend you and Lucia for people inquiring on travelling in Slovakia.
It was a real pleasure and in the name of all the group, thank you very much
We hope to be back in Slovakia sometime in the near future

National Parks of Slovakia

Lenka,

Itinerary: Each day was well planned, and well accessed from our accommodation. Each national park was very different, providing variety and stimulation. The mix of easy and difficult days was well balanced. The national parks: The beauty of each park was outstanding. Guide: Lucia was knowledgable, helpful and flexible. She was able to adapt the itinerary to our needs. She was informative on history, and each place visited. While she was always late, this was usually only 5 to 10 minutes, and was not a problem for us. Overall, she was very good. Accommodation: Each hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with good food. Pension staff were very helpful. The cost was considered very reasonable for the quality. The Poprad "Fortuna" pension was remote from shopping and evening activities. However, there were enough alternative restaurants within walking distance to try.

Other comments: We were impressed with Slovakia's national parks, and believe that the autumn was one of the best times for us to go. There were very few other tourists, and the autumn colours were beautiful. Food and accommodation costs were good value compared to other countries in Europe. That we also had Lucia as a guide included in the cost was a great bonus. In contrast, we went on a self guided bicycle tour in the Czech republic prior to the Slovakia week, booked through AVE Travel. While Moravia was also beautiful, and the Czech bicycle infrastructure was good, the AVE service was poor, notes and maps were poor, accommodation below average, and even though we had no guide, the costs were higher than yours. Your tour was far better value, and far more enjoyable.

We would rate your service and the overall experience of our holiday with you as 10 out of 10, and would gladly recommend it to others.

Regards,

16 days Trip in Slovak Mountains - Sulov, Velka - Mala Fatra, High Tatra, Slovensky raj

Ahoj Veronika and Martin,
The itinerary you put together was well planned and executed. These past 16 days have been excellent. I knew that Slovak Paradise and the High Tatras, alone, would be worth the trip. I did not realize that there was so much more to see and do. The mountains, castles, caves, lakes, waterfalls, festivals, museums and your insights were all perfect. The meals and accommodations were all first rate... the innkeepers in Martin and Poprad made me feel very comfortable and now seem like old friends.
The peaceful hike in the quiet Sulovske Hills was a great introduction (and warm up) for the days to follow. The hiking tours in Mala Fatra and Velka Fatra National Parks were a bit more challenging, but the views from Tlsta Peak and Velky Rozsutec Peak were worth the effort. I especially enjoyed the canyons and waterfalls at the base of Velky Rozsutec. The ferry ride and Robin Hood festival were nice surprises.
The special program with Marcel was a lot of fun. The boat ride around the huge lake, surrounded by magnificent mountains, was a great way to begin the day. Marcel's interpretation of the open air Celtic museum made it even more enjoyable. The afternoon we spent at the thermal swimming pool was a nice break from hiking.
Another highlight for me was laying in the alpine meadow at Martinske Hole Peak and watching the sheep and cows come out of the forest with the shepherds while the clouds floated by. Everyone should do this at least once in their lives.
The decision to spend an extra night in the High Tatras was a good one. I will never tire of the breathtaking views (or the beer in the mountain cottages). Summitting Krivan was a personal goal, but I think my favorite day was the day we climbed Rysy Peak.
I have truly come to love Slovakia since that first whirlwind tour in 2004. You have made it possible for me to see many spectacular places and meet many wonderful people in your beautiful country. Anyone who has not experienced Slovakia with STOPA-STS has no idea what they are missing.
I cannot wait to see the photos. I am already thinking about returning next year. I will continue to recommend your company to my family and friends.
Thank you again for everything and best of luck.
