6-day Highlights of Slovakia Tour

Here's our feedback:

A. On Tour Guide - Barbora was excellent. We had a great time with her. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, flexible and covered all the highlights. She went out of her way to customize some parts of the tour to our interest. She is a good driver and we would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone interested in touring Slovakia.

B. On hotels:

1. ERB Boutique Hotel was outstanding but unfortunately we had only one night there. The breakfast service was excellent: good variety and of a very high standard and quality.
2. Kukucka Hotel in High Tatras - I wouldn't rate it as a four star hotel. I understand that star rating probably varies by region but the rooms were mediocre and the on-site restaurant was disappointing. A whole page of the menu featuring duck (including pierogies with duck filling in another part of the menu) were not at all available for ordering. There were only 3 red wine offered in the drinks menu but only one was available. Breakfast wasn't great either. It had sufficient variety but lacking in quality. Breads were "flat" - not crusty and grainy. Toasting it would have helped but there were no toaster which to me is a pretty basic piece of equipment at most breakfast buffets.
3. Hilton Double Tree - this hotel is fine and the breakfast service was excellent. Not as good as ERB's but definitely second in running.

C. Thanks for recommending Park Inn Danube. The hotel was great and breakfast service was good.

D. We also had a wonderful tour with Andrea Turcsanyi in Budapest. She is a wonderful guide and went out of her way to be helpful to us. Thanks for the recommendation.

Everything went perfectly. Maria was very obliging and helpful. Her knowledge of history and in general was informative and interesting. She was also able to recommend great cafes for coffee and cake!

Thank you for arranging such a wonderful trip for us especially the Nitra part. Jan was an amazing guide with extensive knowledge and empathy to our needs. He arranged and organised everything we asked for and showed us the delicious food and beers of Slovakia so we could understand the culture and friendliness of the Slovakian people.

We would like you to advise Jan that the wine tasting he arranged for us with Adam Sykora was better than we expected. We tasted some amazing wines and Adam was very knowledgeable which we appreciated as great wine lovers. Thank you once again.
