Name of the Peak: Gerlachovsky Peak (Gerlach)
Altitude: 2655 meters
Description: The higest peak of The High Tatras, Slovakia and the whole Carpathian Arch. It divides two beautiful valleys, Velicka valleyand Batizovska valley. On the south side there is charcteristic Gerlach gorge.
The altitudinal primacy was made out in 1838 by Ludovit Greiner. It is the most attractive climbing peak in the High Tatras.
The trek starts in Velicka valley by the mountain hotel Sliezsky dom on the east side of the peak. It ends in the Batizovska valley on the western side.
You will certainly enjoy this incredible peak.
