Itinerary

The Hron river basin represents a colorful landscape, with a variety of possibilities for family vacation and active relaxation. In the environs of river Hron, there can be found a lot of historical and cultural sights. Stay in this country can certainly give you a lot of pleasant and interesting moments to remember. The biggest attraction for tourists, rock climbers and lovers of beautiful nature is the Low Tatras National Park, second highest mountain range in Slovakia. This mountain range lies in the central part of Slovakia and is almost 100 kilometers long. Thanks to this fact, it is possible to view almost the entire surrounding country from its peak and this gives a beautiful experience of the movement through a virgin nature, full of rare plants and creatures. Under the mountain range is hidden continuous complex of caves, hundreds of kilometers long, which remain so far mostly unexplored.

Arrival to Slovakia, accommodation, informal reception.

  2. Day 2

We will ascend Dumbier (altitude 2043 m), the highest peak in the Low Tatras, where we will be able to see chamois in a special reserve set up for their protection. Dumbier is a beautiful mountain with 500 meter long precipices, and rare flora and fauna. Below the peak, at an altitude of 1740 meters, is Chata M.R.Stefanika (M.R. Stefanik Chalet).

  3. Day 3

We will go to see the cave Bystrianska jaskyna with a sightseeing trail 545 m long. The natural forces created here beautiful forms and halls that were given interesting names, such as Hell, Treasury, etc. 8 species of bats live in this cave.

  4. Day 4

We will take a walk along the valley Vajskovska dolina that is 20 km long. It is one the most beautiful and quiet valleys in Low Tatras with rumbling waterfalls at its end.

  5. Day 5

We will take a ride by a historical steam-driven train in Cierny Balog. The train transports people on a narrow gauge railroad between villages of Hronec and Cierny Balog, and it is a great attraction for tourists visiting this region.

  6. Day 6

We will go to see the wild forest named Dobrocsky prales that is located in the hills of Slovenske rudohorie (Slovak Ore Mountain). The forest was administratively recognised as a reserve in 1913. It is an untouched piece of nature that consists of spruces, fir trees, maples and beeches. Some trees in the reserve are about 450 years old.
