Whether you are traveling with friends or family, or you are a beginner or experienced skier, the Low Tatras offer a wide range of activities in a beautiful mountain environment. The ski resorts in the Low Tatras are part of the NAPANT National Park, the largest national park in Slovakia. The Low Tatras mountain range stretches for 82 km across central Slovakia in an east–west direction, between the scenic valleys of the Vah and Hron rivers.

The ski resorts in the Low Tatras are well equipped and increasingly popular. Among the most visited resorts are Jasna, Donovaly, Janska dolina, Tale and Myto pod Dumbierom, offering great conditions for winter sports as well as year-round mountain activities.

Jasna – the largest ski resort in Slovakia

Jasna in the Low Tatras is the largest ski resort in Slovakia, offering excellent conditions for winter sports. Located on both the northern and southern sides of Chopok peak, it provides a wide range of slopes for beginners, families and advanced skiers. The resort offers 45 km of well-maintained slopes of varying difficulty and regularly hosts international competitions. A modern snowmaking system covering 27 km ensures reliable snow conditions for up to 5 months a year. Evening skiing is available on illuminated slopes, and the season usually runs from early December to the end of April. Donovaly – popular family-friendly resort

PARK SNOW Donovaly is one of the most famous ski resorts in Slovakia. The village of Donovaly lies on the border of the Low Tatras and Great Fatra, about 25 km from Banska Bystrica and 29 km from Ruzomberok. The resort offers around 11 km of slopes divided into two main areas – Zahradiste and Nova hola. Zahradiste is ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers, while Nova hola provides more challenging slopes for advanced visitors. Janska Valley – family-friendly skiing

Ski Centrum Janska Valley is located on the northern slopes of the Low Tatras, about 7 km from Liptovsky Mikulas. This is a smaller, family-oriented resort with a ski school and facilities suitable for beginners as well as more experienced skiers. Visitors can also enjoy a bar, equipment rental and easy parking close to the lifts. The ski season typically lasts from December to March. Janska Dolina Ski Resort

Tale – smaller resort with diverse activities

Ski resort Tale offers a variety of winter activities with well-maintained slopes for both beginners and experienced skiers. The resort operates several lifts with a total capacity of over 4,000 people per hour. Tracks are prepared daily and supported by artificial snow. Night skiing is available on selected slopes. Myto pod Dumbierom – slopes for all levels

Myto pod Dumbierom ski resort is located near the main route between Banska Bystrica and Poprad. The slopes face north and are suitable for beginners, families and advanced skiers.
