Castles - Slovakia is a rich country in various fortifications, castles and manor houses. Some of them have been inscribed in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage as Spis Castle, which is one of the largest castles in Central Europe.
Caves - Slovakia is among the countries with the largest number of karst phenomena - are known more than 5350 caves. Most of them in the Slovak Karst, while several are known throughout Europe and the world. 12 caves are open to the public and allow us to embark on an interesting journey for beauty and knowledge.
Open-air museums of folk architecture - If you are wondering how in Slovakia lived in the past, do not miss a visit to the open air museum. The largest outdoor museum in Slovakia Museum of the Slovak Village in Martin, others are in Banska Stiavnica, Bardejov Spa, Nitra, Zuberec - Museum of Orava Village, Vychylovka - Kysuce Village Museum, Pribilina, Svidnik, Humenne and elsewhere.
Hiking in the mountains - whether in summer or winter, Slovak mountains always offer many ways to spend a pleasant holiday. Most significant memorable tourist destination is the High Tatras. It is the highest Slovak mountains, home to many rare species of animals and plants. The High Tatras includes three main tourist resorts – Strbske Pleso, Tatranska Lomnica and Stary Smokovec. Low Tatras are the second highest mountains in Slovakia and in every season popular recreation area.

- unique caves of the Slovak Karst
- inhabited village of Vlkolinec, which is also open-air museum to document the way of life in the past with typical wooden houses
- Levoca historical town and the largest castle in Central Europe - Spis Castle and its surroundings
- the Carpathian beech forests in north-eastern Slovakia
- wooden churches of the Slovak Carpathian mountains
