Tokaj wine region lies on the south-western part of the Zemplinske Hills. Slovak Tokaj region extends from Hungary and its area is 907 hectares. Slovak Tokaj region is the smallest wine-growing area not only in Slovakia, but also in the world. It is one of the five regions in the world where it is possible to grow grapes for the production of naturally sweet wines as Tokaj.

Rysy is the highest peak in the High Tatras Mountains, which is accessible to individual tourists without the services of a mountain guide. Hiking on the top of the Rysy peak is maybe the most popular hiking destination in the High Tatras Mountains, mainly due to the beautiful view from the top. The summit is situated in the Slovak-Polish border and it has three peaks. The highest is the main peak (2503 m) lying in Slovakia, the second the northwestern peak on Polish territory and the lowest one is the southeastern peak (2473 m).

Everybody knows the world-famous Stonehenge. This massive stone building, located in the United Kingdom and included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, is a great attraction for many tourists from different countries of the world. When visiting the United Kingdom, no one will miss a huge mysterious building ever since the Stone Age, to which many fairy tales and legends are bound and that is why it is so attractive. Seeing something also in your own eyes must really be an experience. It raises questions about how and where it came about, who it belongs to or where it served.

In Slovakia, however, we have something very similar to the famous Stonehenge. It is the so-called Slovak Stonehenge, located in the Trnava region, in the town of Holic, and it is at least a bit similar to the world at least. It’s not so far from Bratislava so Holic suitable place for a day tour in Slovakia

Accommodation in the Tatra Mountains is provided in the mountain huts - chalets. The huts - chalets, which are currently in operation, are situated on the southern side of Slovak Tatras. The northern side of Bielovodska valley is available only a public climbing camp at the field under the Vysoka peak. More details on accommodation and catering in the huts and contacts can be found in the description of particular hut - chalet. Many of the huts also have a web site. The huts on the Slovak side of the Tatra Mountains have long history and a period of glory and destruction as well; and they always help you to spend nice holiday in the Tatra Mountains.
