The intensity of the hikes was nice too, and the flexibility with the routes on each day was wonderful.
I have to admit, the accommodation in Poprad, and Popradske Pleso were not so much a highlight (trying to sound as positive as I can be). In Poprad in the guesthouse, I already arrived one night earlier and booked my own room for that night, which was in the newer part of the building and quite nice, but the room assigned to me from your pre-bookings in the older part was dirty, the bathroom moldy and it was really not comfortable to stay there after all the hiking, when I was hoping for a good (just basic but at least clean) night before heading home.
And in Popradske Pleso, I understand the scenery and its location make it a great place to include, and I was happy to get to hike to Rysy by staying there for two nights, but the staff was rude/lacking basic English, and the facilities were worse than in any of the other huts.
But: of course it is all in the mountains, and not a Spa relaxation trip, so all in all, super alright.

I had a wonderful time on the trek, thank you for checking in.
My only issue was arriving at the guest house. There was a lot of construction in the area so when I was walking from the train station all the routes that came up on my phone were blocked. I ended up asking Roman for help and he provided me with a different route, but if I had had that information to begin with it would have saved a lot of time spent trying to find my way there. If there is still construction in the area it would be helpful to provide a route from the train station that avoids the construction.
Other than that, everything was great!
Prior to my arrival I was not aware that there would be other people starting the same route at the same time as me, but this ended up making the experience a lot of fun.

It was fantastic. We liked everything, especially that huts were in green/forested areas (more cosy than let's say Sliezsky Dom), weather, mountains.
Maybe a recommendation would be: make emphasis on waking up earlier on Zamkovskeho Chata to Popradske Pleso, because it took us almost the entire day, taking into account that we consider ourselves as medium pace hikers and woke up pretty early.
Overall, it was an amazing experience - exactly what we've been looking for.

Thank you for reaching out. The hike was good, although the bad weather made it a bit more challenging on day two. Nevertheless, we were very happy that we completed the hike. The views were magnificent!
One feedback we have is that the Atrium guesthouse is very far from the Poprad train station and city center. It was a very dead town with nothing much to do. It would have been more convenient if we had been staying in the town center instead.

i am super delighted that I made booking through travel Slovakia and would definitely recommend to others who plan to visit Slovakia for the trek.
Slovakia mountains - High Tatras is not that well known outside central Europe (and may be Europe), I was lucky i came across these mountains and got an opportunity to visit and explore.
I would recommend that there should be an effort of promoting tourism and trek options (Instagram, you-tube, etc.).

We had a really really good trip! We are very impressed with the nature in Slovakia, the quality of the cabins and the experiences we have had overall.
Feedback: We would have liked the routes to be described better in the document we received. We would have liked to have a more detailed description of what to expect on the following hiking days. Day 3 and day 4 were challenging hiking days. We were prepared for day 3, but we did not expect the level of challenge met at day 4. It would have been good if it had been described in more detail. We also wish that helmets had been mentioned on a packing list, as we experienced several places along the way where other more local hikers were wearing helmets, while we were not.
All in all we are very satisfied and have had some really good experiences. We have also been happy with the correspondence with you leading up to the trip.

I wanted to say thank you to you and Roman again for organising everything for us for our trip.
It was so beautiful, the high tatras are unbelievable and definitely challenged by the hikes - some really steep, difficult terrain at times and sometimes the weather made it harder!
But that is what we wanted and there were also parts of the trails that were easier and we could enjoy the scenery and take it more easy. The trails were so well marked and the maps you gave us made navigating so easy.

Yes, we are definitely back from our hike in the Tatra Mountains. We returned to Denmark late last night after a few nights in Bojnice.
We had a fantastic hike in the Tatra Mountains and everything worked perfectly. We were so happy with Roman's introduction and his tips and suggestions. We had two very rainy days the first two days. The third day was gray and then the last two days were sunny, and it was fantastic to see the mountains in the sun.
We are very satisfied with our trip and can highly recommend it to others.

The accomodations/food in the Mountains were really nice (above expectations).
The guide we met in Poprad was also very nice and helpfull.
The pension in Poprad was good enough but the breakfast a bit (too)poor.

Overall, it was great — the only downside was that my wife came down with food poisoning on the day we were meant to hike to Slavkovský štít, so I ended up going on my own.
The hotel was excellent. We skipped Biela Voda and instead did our own hike from Starý Smokovec via the Observatory to Tatranská Monika, then took the train back. We were really lucky with the weather, which made a big difference. Everything was very well organized — many thanks!

The trip was beautiful! I really loved it, but my friend (who has less experience) had quite a hard time, as we took twice as long as expected (especially on the last day). So maybe you could add something that some experience is needed to do the tour. Additionally, it might be nice to give three different times for each route (beginner, intermediate, advance) so we can better plan ahead, but those are just suggestions.
However, overall, we had a great time and everything was well organised!

We had a great time hiking in the mountains and staying in the huts! The weather was pretty good apart from the third day.
The distance and elevations were pretty good for us, although the rocks on the path made hiking more tiring than we'd expected (more used to earthy paths).

I had such a wonderful time in the Tatras that I'm already wanting to go back.
I think the trip went by smoothly, maps were very useful and so was the initial meeting with Roman.
The best part about the trip was not only the experience itself but the people that I met that had also booked with you!
It's wonderful joining other solo travelers, because the trip completely changes, and we all had the same route too.
I will definitely be in contact in the future with you again hopefully, as there's still many more huts to see and I for sure fell in love with Slovakia.

We loved the hike, it was absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed the route and the huts we had to stay in.
We would have a recommendation for day 2 of hiking. Either:
a) to stay at Horská ubytovňa Hrebienok instead of Zamkovskeho chalet (to reduce the amount of walking on day 3)
Or
b) add an option to do a return trip from Zamkovskeho chalet to Veľké Spišské pleso. This was recommended to us on the day but we didn't have enough time to do it. We took it slower that day, as there was no extra hike options on your guide.
One issue we had was that you said that, with notice, dietaries including vegetarian and vegan could be catered for. I specified 1 vegetarian and 1 vegan, however all of the huts had 1 vegetarian and 1 normal diet on their records. Luckily, we managed to find something for the vegan to eat, but they were not nutritious and not worth the money we paid to your company (for example, one meal was cabbage and French fries).

The trekking was really cool and beautiful. Everything worked out with the huts/ finding the route, thanks for planning everything
Only bad luck is that we had rainy weather on our 4th walking day (which was the long 9+ hour walking day) which made the route slippery and prolonged all the way to 13h walking (7am leave, 8 pm arrival). Mostly just bad luck, but in retro spect we should've tried to stay at the middle location for safety :)
In whole it was a beautiful start to our time in Slovakia and we are very happy ?

thank you for your email. all-over we had a wonderful time in the Tatra Mountains. Thank you so much for putting this together.
Maybe some minor remarks:
it seems logic indeed that the mountains are "cash-only", but a stronger emphasis in communication would have been useful.
in one of the huts (3th night) there was no drinkable water available. this was not communicated beforehand.
personally, I had a bit of trouble and fear with some of the passages on ladders and chains.
the breakfast in Restart-Pension is somehow disappointing with the raw material of the burgers (dry buns, raw bacon and cheddar)
on the return tot Poprad with the Tatra Train, the train did not go until Poprad but was limited to the 2nd stop. the organisation with replacement buses was not very clear, so we took a taxi from there.

I made it back to London safe and sound—though with a bit of sadness. Leaving Poprad wasn’t easy.
The hike went really well despite the wet weather during the first two days, and I want to sincerely thank you for all your help and support with the booking. I truly fell in love with the Tatras and very much hope to return in the near future.
Just a few small comments that might help make future explorers’ experiences even more unforgettable:
Atrium Pension is super cute and cozy! For those staying there, I’d recommend visiting the Aqua Centre, which is only a 10-minute walk away.
It might be helpful to advise people to hop off at Vysoké Tatry, Tatranská Kotlina, Čarda bus stop to start the hike. As someone new to the area (and I wasn’t the only one—another couple from England had the same issue), finding the entrance to the route was a little confusing at first.
None of the hotels/huts seemed able to provide dairy alternatives for yoghurt or milk, which makes the experience a bit less smooth for people with lactose intolerance.
Overall, it was a wonderful trip—thank you again for everything!

Thanks for your email. We had an amazing time in the mountains! The weather was perfect for hiking, the scenery was amazing and we loved the varied trails and terrain. The huts and food were great, and we really enjoyed spending time in Slovakia. Everything went very smoothly with all the transport and accommodation, and Ondrej was really helpful when we met with him before the hike.
One minor piece of feedback is that it might be helpful to have more detailed descriptions of each day’s hike, to help with planning timings for each day and to give people a better understanding of some of the more challenging parts of the route (e.g., we enjoyed the challenge of the saddle ascents and descents but perhaps some more information could be helpful for helping people understand the level of technicality of some parts of the hikes).
But this is really minor feedback, as we had a brilliant time in the mountains, and everything was really well planned, so thank you! We will definitely recommend Travel Slovakia and the Tatra mountains to friends, and we’d love to return to explore more!

The trip was perfect. The Atrium Hotel was welcoming and held on to some of my stuff while I was on my hike. All hut check-ins went very smooth. No issues whatsoever. The provided map and directions were clear. Everything felt safe and well prepared as a result.

There was a lot more snow than expected during the trip which was beautiful but made the route over the Priečne Sedlo was very challenging - I think in hindsight it would have been safer to have some mountaineering gear with us or choosing not do that route that day but but we made it over in the end with no injuries thankfully ?
We are looking forward to returning to Slovakia in future for more hiking :)
