Itinerary

We have created an experience in the High Tatra Mountains with visits to the most classic destinations of the area - Stary Smokovec and Tatranska Lomnica. In Grand Tour style, you will stay in absolute comfort in distinctive, luxurious 4-star hotels. You will enjoy great hiking and the highlight, a funicular on the top of the second highest peak of the High Tatras, Lomnicky peak.
Your typical day starts with a delicious buffet breakfast at a hotel. You should finish your day hike around 4 PM, giving you time to freshen up and relax in a hotel wellness center. Later, enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant.

1. Day 1 Arrival in Stary Smokovec, Slovakia.

2. Day 2 Day hike from Hrebienok to Zbojnicka hut and back.

   - Breakfast
   - Funicular from Stary Smokovec to hrebienok
   - Hiking route: Hrebienok - Zbojnicka hut - Hrebienok
   - Funicular from Hrebienok to Stary Smokovec
   
   Great Cold Valley (6 - 7 hrs)
   You will visit the Zbojnicka Chata (Robber's hut; 1,960 m EASL) in Great Cold Valley (Velka Studena Dolina), surrounded by rocky peaks. Zbojnicka hut was reconstructed in 2000, offering its services during all seasons. Supplies are still carried up to the hut by mountain carriers.

3. Day 3 Day hike from Hrebienok to Sliezsky Dom mountain hotel.

   - Breakfast
   - Funicular from Stary Smokovec to Hrebienok
   - Hiking route: Hrebienok - Sliezsky Dom mountain hotel - Hrebienok
   - Funicular from Hrebienok to Stary Smokovec
   
   Velicka Valley (5 hrs)
   Velicke Lake is in Velicka Valley, where Sliezsky Dom mountain hotel (Silesian House; 1,670 m EASL) lies. The trip offers a striking view of just how high the Tatras are. In viewing the Tatra villages below, hikers sometimes find themselves looking just past their boot-tops.

4. Day 4 Day hike from Hrebienok to Skalnate pleso.

   - Breakfast
   - Funicular from Stary Smokovec to Hrebienok
   - Hiking route: Hrebienok - Skalnate pleso mountain lake
   - Cableway from Skalnate pleso to Tatranska Lomnica village
   - Accommodation at Grandhotel Praha****
   
   Hrebienok - Skalnate pleso (2 hrs)
   The easy hike route leads through two mountain huts - Rainer's hut and Zamkovsky hut. The trail offers beautiful Poprad basin and Small Cold Valley (Mala Studena Dolina) views and a stop by at Huge Waterfall (Obrovsky Vodopad). A cableway leads from Skalnate pleso to Tatranska Lomnica village.

5. Day 5 Cable car to Lomnicky peak.

   - Breakfast
   - Cableway from Tatranska Lomnica to Skalnate pleso
   - Cableway to Lomnicky peak
   - Return cableway to Tatranska Lomnica
   
   Lomnicky peak
   A 15-seat cableway to Lomnicky peak is among the most attractive adventures for tourists in the High Tatras. It reaches a differential height of 1,700 m and carries tourists to 2,634 m above sea level in only a few minutes.

6. Day 6 Day hike from Tatranska Lomnica to Zelene pleso hut.

   - Breakfast
   - Hiking route: Biela Voda, Tatranska Lomnica - Zelene pleso (Green Lake) - Tatranska Lomnica
   
   Biela Voda - Zelene pleso hut (5 hrs)
   Zelene pleso hut is situated in the Green Lake Valley (Dolina Zelneho plesa) above the lake, unusually green in color and surrounded by magnificent High Tatras peaks.
   
   Route: Biela Voda - Biele pleso - Zelene pleso hut - Salviovy pramen - Biela Voda
